Solo exhibition currently on display at Parker Contemporary (Brisbane, Aus)

A series exploring the tensions between knowledge and understanding, data and interpretation, what is said and what is done, prediction and outcome.

Drawing from meteorological terms with varying degrees of political/social interpretation, these works are a direct branch from the ongoing series Weather Eye and adjacent to Long Weekends on Europa.

Each combines relief etching and blind embossment of the same plate, producing a variable subtle linework wash, and a separate visually “silent” but intensely topographic layer revealed more by touch than by light. The result is a tension between the visually appealing and haptically satisfying, each simultaneously overlaying and underlying the other.

Selected works below, full details available on the Parker Contemporary website and available here following exhibition.
